Cartoonist Eroyn Franklin - Detained

Gallery 4Culture opening July 1st, 6-8 p.m.

Eroyn Franklin’s installation in the gallery this month is, in a word, fantastic. The panoramic scrolls and large scale drawings that make up the show will be published later this year in her third book. Working closely with a trio of independent journalists from the Common Language Project whose mission is to report under-told stories, Eroyn developed her story line, following several illegal immigrants in detention facilities in Washington State.

Eroyn won the prestigious Xeric Foundation grant in 2008 in support of her self-published books.

Please join us for a special event: Thursday, July 8, 7:00 p.m.

A presentation by the artist and the CLP independent journalists whose reporting provided the content for the show. Free and open to the public.

Prefontaine Place in Seattle.

Thanks to the responsive staff -Sara Edwards, Sean Stern, Bill Whipple et al.
